Older People Care Unit is seeking to recruit a Band 6 Clinical Lead for Dove Ward at Blossomwood.
Dove Ward opens in September 2025 and is a 10-bedded, purpose-built, mixed-gender ward for older persons' mental health assessment and treatment. The ward design allows flexibility for both mental health and dementia patients.
Please note: Applicants will need to pay for their DBS check, with costs deducted from salary after appointment. The DBS application fee is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced). It is encouraged to enroll in the DBS Update Service, which costs £16 per year.

The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to the ward’s multidisciplinary team, serving as a visible point of contact for junior staff requiring guidance and support to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and person-centered care.
This role requires flexible working hours over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week, and includes Senior Nurse duties at Blossomwood.
Applicants should possess excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, work well alongside existing team managers, and have the personal qualities to lead a strong, experienced, and supportive team in a challenging environment.
Substantial experience at Band 5 is essential. You must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
