Overview
Salary Leadership Range, Points 20 to 24 (£82,654 to £91,157). Delta Academies Trust is looking for a strategic, forward-thinking Deputy Director of Finance to play a pivotal role in securing exceptional outcomes for pupils through strong financial management. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance & Operations Officer (CFOO), you will oversee the Trust’s financial management, compliance, and reporting, helping ensure financial resilience and effective investment across academies.
This is a senior leadership role where your expertise will shape long-term financial strategy, strengthen Trust-wide financial governance, and support leaders to make informed, sustainable decisions.

Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day oversight of financial management, financial compliance, and reporting for the Trust.
* Help ensure financial resilience and the ability to invest effectively in improving educational outcomes across academies.
* Shape long-term financial strategy and strengthen Trust-wide financial governance.
* Support leaders across the organisation to make informed, sustainable decisions.
* Report to the Chief Finance & Operations Officer (CFOO) and collaborate with senior leaders.
Qualifications and Skills
* Significant experience as a financial leader, ideally within a multi-academy trust or equivalent educational sector.
* Strategic, forward-thinking approach with strong governance and financial management capabilities.
* Proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive financial performance and outcomes.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
