HGV Technician - Day Shift\n Location: Reading area\nHours: 08:00-16:30 (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)\nSalary: Up to £45,000 per annum (DOE) + overtime at 1.5x basic rate\n \n An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join a leading commercial vehicle service centre in the Reading area. This permanent role offers excellent earning potential, structured working hours, and access to continuous training and development within a modern, well-equipped workshop.\n \n Key Responsibilities\n \nPerform inspections, servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a range of HGVs. \nCarry out preventative maintenance and ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards.
\nSupport workshop efficiency by keeping accurate job records and documentation. \nConduct wheel alignment, tyre fitting, and general mechanical upkeep. \nMaintain workshop safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
Skills & Experience\n \nLevel 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI). \nProven experience working on HGVs or trailers in a dealership or fleet environment. \nStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with attention to quality and safety.
