We are seeking a passionate and organised Assistant Events Operations Manager to help lead and inspire our Events & In-Room Dining team at one of the UK's most iconic countryside retreats. * Position Overview
* As Assistant Events Operations Manager, you'll play a key leadership role supporting the Events & In-Room Dining Manager. From beautifully orchestrated weddings to seamless corporate retreats and elegant private dinners, you'll be behind the scenes and front-of-house, ensuring exceptional execution across our entire estate. You'll help train and lead a dedicated team, oversee logistics, deliver five-star service, and work collaboratively across departments to make every event unforgettable.
* Key Responsibilitie
* Assist in managing the day-to-day operation of Events and In-Room Dining
* Coach and support the FOH team in delivering personalised, luxury service
* Lead pre-shift meetings, allocate tasks, and ensure exceptional event setups
* Monitor guest satisfaction and actively seek feedback to drive improvements
* Ensure function spaces and meeting rooms are always presentation-ready
* Liaise with other departments (Culinary, Sales, Rooms Division) to ensure event success
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational organisation
* Manage departmental admin, stock control, scheduling and payroll support
* Oversee accurate billing, guest records, and event documentation
* Contribute to team performance reviews, training, and goal-setting
* Work flexibly across Events and In-Room Dining operations based on business needs
* Represent the Events leadership team in meetings when required
Who You Are
* You've previously worked in events operations or luxury F&B service in Hotels or High end venues
* A confident leader who leads from the front with a hands-on approach
* Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and a natural problem-solver
* Excellent communication skills with a guest-first mindset
* Able to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively
* Passionate about creating memorable moments for guests in beautiful settings
* Comfortable using event and POS software and managing basic admin & reporting
* Someone who thrives in a collaborative, values-driven environment
