Overview
Barchester Healthcare is looking for an experienced and dedicated Administrator to join their team and play a pivotal role within the home's management team. The successful candidate will provide the General Manager with support to ensure the efficient running of a high-quality care home, encompassing customer experience, HR, recruitment, payroll, finance, and supervising junior administration staff.
Responsibilities
* Promote a warm and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors
* Manage enquiries and show rounds for prospective families, including managing the customer database to support commercial performance and conversion
* Drive occupancy and the reputation of the Home as part of a community engagement team
* Support resident and family feedback with a focus on customer care
* Assist with recruitment of home staff, complete employment checks and arrange inductions
* Payroll preparation for home-based staff
* Provide advice and guidance to employees on HR queries using available tools
* Ensure personal files are stored securely
* Attend meetings and produce accurate notes/minutes
* Ensure rotas are complete
* Manage safe contents, petty cash, and resident fund accounts
* Update ad-hoc training, supervisions, and appraisals on staff records
* Offer guidance on staff development opportunities including signposting to Apprenticeships and qualifications
Need to have
* Experience in a customer-facing role
* Previous involvement in HR administration and recruitment
* High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritise
* Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* CIPD qualification would be beneficial
