About the Role
The efficient coordination of overnight vehicle loading and despatch for the Enfield operation. To ensure that all orders are loaded accurately onto vehicle within the time restraints whilst always adhering to all health and safety standards.
The role involves the efficient coordination of overnight vehicle loading and despatch for the Enfield operation, ensuring that all orders are loaded accurately onto vehicles within the time restraints while adhering to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Opening the site and setting up ready for overnight dispatch procedures.
* Moving of vehicles into loading order and to create space to receive internal transfer orders and stock.
* Receiving overnight transfer deliveries from Derby site.
* Combining customer orders from both the Enfield and Derby sites into delivery order.
* Unloading internal stock transfers and moving to their correct warehouse location.
* Loading internal stock transfers back onto the vehicle to be returned to Derby.
* Loading of all vehicles in delivery and dispatch order to achieve planned departure times and maintain required vehicle temperatures until dispatch.
* Ensuring the driver arrival, load and dispatch time document is completed accurately.
* Ensuring drivers invoices and delivery manifests are sorted for each delivery round.
* Weekly cleaning of all multidrop vans.
* Ensuring the Enfield dispatch area and external yard are left clean and tidy after every shift.
Qualifications
* Essential: A valid UK driving license.
* FLT / electric pallet truck license.
* Manual handling; continuous lifting of up to 25kg per load.
* Basic Maths & English for splitting orders, checking numbers and scanning.
* Food manufacturing / warehouse experience; wet/cold working environment, some outdoor working and fridge/freezer environment.
* Desirable: H&S Qualification.
* Scanning System knowledge.
* Investigation skills.
* IT literate.
