ServiceNow Developer / Platform Lead

Overview
An IT department within a large, multi-site organisation is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to take ownership of its ServiceNow platform and lead development, automation, and optimisation.
This is a hands-on technical role with strategic influence, focused on modernising IT service delivery and digitising business processes using ServiceNow and JavaScript-driven customisation .
Key Responsibilities
Act as the technical lead and subject-matter expert for the ServiceNow platform
Design, build, and maintain workflows, automations, and service catalogue items
Develop and customise ServiceNow using JavaScript (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies)
Own platform administration including upgrades, security, performance, and technical debt
Build and maintain REST API integrations with systems such as Entra ID and HR platforms
Deliver joiner, mover, and leaver automation and cross-system data flows
Translate IT and business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Produce clear technical documentation and development standards
Work closely with Information Security to ensure platform security and compliance
