Technically Sales Manager – Rubber, Plastics & Composites - UK Are you a commercially driven technical sales professional with deep knowledge of additives, pigments, polymers, and performance chemicals? Do you thrive at the intersection of material science and business growth? We are seeking a results-oriented Technical Sales Manager to drive market expansion across the UK within the rubber, plastics, and composites sectors. The Role You will be responsible for developing and managing B2B relationships with manufacturers and extruders, moulders and compounders, supplying high-performance: Polymer additives (stabilizers, antioxidants, flame retardants) Pigments and colour systems Specialty polymers and resins Processing aids and performance enhancers Custom chemical solutions for demanding applications This is a consultative, technically focused sales role requiring a deep understanding of material performance, formulation challenges, and end-use requirements. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK Manage and grow existing OEM and compounder accounts Provide technical guidance on product selection and formulation improvements Work closely with R&D and procurement teams Monitor market trends in rubber, thermoplastics, thermosets, and composite materials Deliver revenue growth aligned with strategic targets What We’re Looking For Degree (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering Proven technical sales experience within rubber, plastics, or composites markets Strong understanding of polymer additives, pigments, and performance chemicals Ability to engage confidently with technical and commercial stakeholders Self-motivated, strategic, and results-driven UK-wide travel flexibility
