Business Development Manager - Premium Spirits x 2 roles - (Bristol and Bournemouth)
Location: Hybrid Working. Working from home, these will be field based roles with a strong focus on the South-West and Central South specifically Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire or Bristol and the South Cotswolds.
Regular distillery visits will be required Distillery post code SP3 5SG

Each bottle tells the story of our commitment to traditional craftsmanship combined with meticulous and innovative distilling techniques, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our sales team with two key new roles now available.

Role 1: Business Development Manager – Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, South Somerset Region
Territory: Bournemouth, Southampton, New Forest, Salisbury, Winchester
Role 2: Business Development Manager – Bristol, North Somerset, Cotswolds Region
Territory: Bristol, Bath, Swindon, South Cotswolds including Oxford
The Role
We're seeking dynamic Business Development Managers for two key territories to join our growing team. These exciting opportunities involve representing our premium spirits portfolio across the on-trade and independent off-trade sectors, building relationships with key accounts and establishing our growing brand as a key player in the premium spirits category.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and expand our presence in on-trade venues (bars, restaurants, hotels) and independent off-trade outlets across assigned territory
* Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, managers, and key decision makers
* Working alongside our distribution partners to engage with their sales teams and drive rate of sale
* Conduct compelling product tastings and brand education sessions
* Identify and secure new business opportunities to meet growth targets
* Create and implement effective account development plans
* Provide regular market intelligence and competitor analysis
* Work collaboratively with our marketing team to execute successful brand activations
* Represent the brand at industry events, tastings, and trade shows
* Work evening shifts as required to engage with bars, restaurants, and other on-trade venues
* Support the team at various industry events throughout the year
Requirements
* Prior experience in drinks sales, cocktail knowledge, premium hospitality
* Established network of on-trade and independent retail contacts is advantageous
* Excellent knowledge of the premium spirits market and current trends
* Strong presentation and negotiation skills
* Self-motivated with excellent time management abilities
* Flexibility to work some evenings for client relationship building
* Passion for craft spirits and the story behind the product
* Excellent knowledge of the specified areas
* Full UK driving license
Desired Qualities
* WSET qualification (Level 2 or above) preferred but not essential
* Experience working with craft/artisanal brands
* Understanding of sustainable practices in the spirits industry
* Relevant contacts and connections within the South West hospitality sector.
* Enthusiasm for English-produced spirits

* Competitive salary: £32,000-£36,000 per annum dependent on experience
