Job Description
The Packaging Designer is responsible for the conceptual creation and development of packaging artworks and graphics for Frasers Group own‑brand categories. This role guides and mentors junior designers, understands manufacturing processes, and manages a diverse workload while ensuring the highest standards.
* Communicate and discuss designs with colleagues and buyers.
* Design and create artwork for all consumer packaging (primary and secondary packs).
* Maintain brand integrity and implement high quality standards consistently, timely and cost‑effectively.
* Ensure artwork suitability for packaging production, applying knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
* Identify problems and suggest improvements throughout the design process.
* Deliver complex projects on time and within cost constraints.
* Adhere to regulations surrounding sustainability messaging.
Qualifications
* 2–5 years of experience in a design discipline.
* Experience in packaging or graphic design.
* Excellent knowledge of the full Adobe Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop required).
* Ability to generate ideas and concepts around product packaging briefs.
* Skill in creating cohesive packaging packs for a variety of brands while adhering to brand guidelines.
* Expertise in different packaging materials and finishings.
* Experience working with factories and following end‑to‑end processes from art‑working to execution.
* Confidence in identifying problems and making improvement suggestions.
* Project management experience with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
* Track record of troubleshooting and resolving issues.
* Track record of managing and delivering on time and within cost.
* Good understanding of regulations surrounding sustainability messaging.
