Complex Needs Support Worker
Location: Easingwold, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £90 – £110 per day
GSL Education are seeking a Complex Needs Support Worker to work at a Client Secondary school for students with additional needs in Easingwold, starting as soon as possible.
Complex Needs Support Worker Responsibilities:
* Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.
* Assist in implementing individual behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies.
* Provide in-class support to help students access learning and develop positive routines.
* Deliver focused intervention.
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
* Build trusting, consistent relationships with students.
Complex Needs Support Worker Requirements:
* Experience working with young people with complex challenges.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviour.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Training in Team Teach or similar behaviour support strategies is advantageous.
* Hold a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
