The Role
Join a thriving nursery team dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. As a valued Nursery Manager you'll support children aged 0-5 years, planning exciting activities, promoting learning through play, and ensuring every child feels supported and valued. The salary is around 35k per year based on 35-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Leadership & Management:
Provide professional leadership and management of the nursery's day-to-day operations.
* Leadership & Management:
Lead, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
* Leadership & Management:
Recruit, develop, and retain high-quality nursery staff.
* Childcare & Education:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years.
* Childcare & Education:
Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Childcare & Education:
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes children\'s learning and development.
* Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure the nursery meets all legal and statutory requirements for health, safety, and child protection.
* Health & Safety Compliance:
Implement and enforce robust safeguarding procedures and policies.
* Health & Safety Compliance:
Oversee fire drills and ensure all emergency procedures are in place and followed.
* Administrative & Financial Duties:
Manage nursery budgets and monitor financial forecasting.

Keep accurate records and create regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Oversee the ordering and maintenance of nursery resources and equipment.
* Parent & Community Engagement:
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with parents and carers.

Collaborate with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other professionals.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
* Previous leadership or management experience.
* Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce qualification.
* Paediatric First Aid certification.
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to make strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.
