Job Title: CAD Technician – Quartz Fabrication
We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with CAD software and an understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally within the stone, joinery, or construction sector. This role is focused on preparing and uploading accurate digital plans to our CNC machinery to ensure precision cutting of quartz worktops and related products.
Responsibilities
* Produce accurate technical drawings and cutting plans for quartz worktops and related products.
* Upload and manage CAD files for CNC machinery, ensuring all details are precise for fabrication.
* Interpret customer and surveyor plans to prepare machine-ready drawings.
* Liaise with surveyors, project managers, and workshop staff to confirm design requirements.
* Review, adjust, and optimise cutting layouts to minimise material waste.
* Maintain accurate records of drawings and ensure traceability of all design revisions.
* Support continuous improvement in production processes by providing accurate and efficient CAD files.
Experience & Skills
* Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar CAD/CAM software) is essential.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or stone industry role is highly desirable.
* Understanding of CNC machine processes and requirements.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under time pressures.
* Strong communication skills to coordinate between office, survey, and workshop teams.
* Organised and proactive approach, with a commitment to quality and efficiency.
