What you will enjoy doing
1. You will lead daily transport operations, ensuring service quality and compliance with safety standards for both people and equipment
2. Act as the named Transport Manager for our Operator License, upholding both internal expectations and external regulatory standards
3. Champion a proactive safety culture, aligned with our commitment to preventing all incidents, and lead inclusive risk prevention initiatives
4. Lead, support, and develop teams across multiple sites, fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and high performance
5. Manage budgets, resource planning, and productivity, using data and insights to support continuous improvement and equitable resource use
6. Collaborate with colleagues in Sales, Production, and Customer Service to ensure transport operations are aligned with shared business goals
What makes you great
7. Transport Management CPC is required, or a willingness to work towards it with support
8. Experience managing transport operations across multiple sites, with a focus on collaboration and service delivery
9. Familiarity with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards and approaches to managing operational risk
10. Experience managing budgets and performance using KPIs, with a focus on continuous improvement and accountability
11. Strong leadership and people skills, including experience building positive working relationships in unionised environments
12. NEBOSH and ADR qualifications are desirable, and we’re committed to supporting training and development in these areas
13. Knowledge of industrial gases or similar sectors is a plus, but not essential
14. Demonstrate integrity and inclusive leadership, role modelling behaviours that contribute to a respectful, safe, and welcoming workplace
