Permanent Management Accountant job in Walsall paying £45,000 - £55,000 per annum for a construction company
Your new company Are you a driven Management Accountant looking to take ownership of your work in a fast‑paced, growing construction environment? Hays Senior Finance are exclusively working with a company who are looking for a confident finance professional to join their team in Walsall and play a key role in shaping the financial performance of their business. Your new role As the Management Accountant, you’ll be the financial heartbeat of the operation—providing accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and proactive support to project teams and senior leadership. You’ll help the company understand the numbers behind their projects, improve profitability, and strengthen their financial processes as they continue to grow. Duties of the role include:
* Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis
* Support project managers with cost reporting, budgeting, and financial planning
* Monitor project performance, margins, and cash flow
* Maintain accurate job costing and WIP schedules
* Providing financial analysis as and when needed
* Assist with year‑end processes and external audits
* Drive improvements in financial controls and reporting efficiency
* Provide clear, actionable insights to support decision‑making across the business
What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within a construction business. They will either be, studying towards an accounting qualification or be a fully qualified accountant. The candidate will be happy working in a construction business based in Walsall on a hybrid working arrangement.What you'll get in return
