Work set up: Hybrid (Three days per week on site at Sheffield or Birmingham client office)
Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a PMO Manager - Project Manager to support a portfolio level engagement within a major banking environment. This role requires close interaction with C Suite and Managing Director level stakeholders, providing delivery assurance, business case support, portfolio oversight, and high quality reporting. The position focuses on understanding and consolidating portfolio demands, managing risks and escalations, and producing structured documentation, dashboards, and reports to support decision making in a fast paced and evolving environment.
What you will do:
* Support and define business cases at portfolio level.
* Engage with C Suite and Managing Director level stakeholders to provide delivery assurance and portfolio visibility.
* Manage a small portfolio and consolidate project and program information into clear reporting structures.
* Analyse project performance metrics, financial data, and resource utilization.
* Create high quality reports that provide insight into project status, performance, and outcomes.
* Develop interactive and visual dashboards using reporting tools for stakeholder consumption.
* Identify, flag, and manage risks, issues, blockers, and escalations.
* Ask critical questions to clarify scope, requirements, and delivery expectations.
* Produce structured documentation of processes, methodologies, and project statuses.
* Present complex data and insights clearly to different audiences and respond confidently to stakeholder challenges.
* Work at pace while maintaining a very high standard of quality in deliverables.
* Adapt to changing priorities and an evolving project environment.
Qualifications
* Experience working directly with C Suite and Managing Director level stakeholders within a banking environment.
* Proven experience providing delivery assurance and managing portfolio level reporting.
* Strong background in business case support and definition.
* Advanced Excel skills including Visual Basic and Macros, and strong PowerPoint capabilities.
* Excellent data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development skills.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to understand and present complex data with confidence.
* Experience documenting processes and project methodologies in a structured format.
* Comfort working in fast paced and changing environments.
