The Tanker & HazMat Endorsement Driver - Class A CDL safely transports and delivers gasoline and distillates by diesel-powered tractor/trailer combination to customer locations with below or above-ground tanks. This is a local day shift position in Nashville, TN (Joelton area) with the hours being 4:00AM - 4:00PM.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct inspection of fuel delivery equipment before, during, and after operation inspection of tractor/trailer combination
2. Conduct inspection of fuel delivery equipment for serviceability
3. Conduct minor repairs of worn fuel delivery equipment
4. Ensure all unit and product documents are present and comply with current DOT and HAZMAT regulations
5. Safely operate a fuel delivery tractor/trailer combination
6. Adhere to fuel loading terminal operating instructions and emergency procedures
7. Safely operate a tractor/trailer combination complying with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations in an urban and rural environment and in all weather conditions
8. Comply with all terminal loading procedures
9. Determine before and after delivery tank measurements checking for water and other contamination
10. Adhere to company procedures for loading and unloading a fuel delivery unit
11. Employ customer service skills that are consistent with the company customer relations policy
12. Safely operate unit pump system to deliver fuel products into above-ground tanks
13. Operate the On-Board computer system effectively to maintain driver logs and trip information and prepare customer bills of lading (BOL)
14. Accurately provide assessorial information onto BOL
15. Provide DOT with required information during inspections and stops
16. Conduct pump out of below or above-ground tanks
Requirements
17. CDL A with Tanker AND HazMat endorsements required
18. May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds
19. 2 years CDL Class A driving experience required
20. Experience in the Petroleum Industry is preferred
21. Satisfactory completion of DOT physical and drug screen required
22. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person or in writing required
23. Tractor/trailer driving experience preferred
