About Our Client
This not-for-profit organisation is a medium-sized entity dedicated to delivering impactful services. They are now seeking a HR Assistant to join their organisation on an interim basis in their nottingham offices.
Job Description
3. Recruitment administration: Post approved adverts, coordinate interview scheduling, manage candidate communications, and maintain an up‑to‑date interview tracker.
4. Offer & onboarding documentation: Prepare offer letters, contracts/variations and induction packs within one working day of approval; ensure all new‑starter paperwork is complete and filed.
5. HR records & data hygiene: Bring personnel files and HRIS fields fully up to date; clear any backlog of filing and align document naming/storage to our standards.
6. Inductions & probation checkpoints: Issue induction schedules and book all probation review meetings already due or falling within the period; maintain a live tracker.
7. Routine HR correspondence: Draft routine HR letters and emails (e.g. confirmations, references, standard notifications) for sign‑off and dispatch.
8. Reporting & trackers: Produce a weekly HR activity summary (vacancy pipeline, onboarding status, key dates) and keep core trackers current.
9. Diary & meeting support: Arrange HR meetings as required and take clear action‑oriented notes for circulation within 24 hours (where applicable).
10. Policy/process support: Assist with minor policy/template updates and small process improvements directed by the Head of HR.
11. Compliance readiness: Ensure right‑to‑work and reference checks are verified and recorded for the interim; support basic DBS where required.
12. Handover pack: Prepare a concise handover note and updated trackers for a smooth transition to the permanent hire.
The Successful Applicant
A successful HR Assistant should have:
13. Previous experience as a HR Assistant.
14. Experience in a HR function for a NFP or Charity organisation would be beneficial.
15. CIPD qualification.
16. Experience with HRIS systems.
17. Familiarity with recruitment administration and processes.
18. Exposure to onboarding processes including right to work and DBS checking.
