We currently have a requirement for an Acoustic Consultant with a strong academic background in acoustics to join a well established, independent acoustic consultancy specializing in environmental, building, and industrial acoustics with a thriving office based in Brighton. \n\nQualifications \nBSc/MSc Acoustics/Noise and Vibration \nFull driving license \n \nExperience \nTechnically competent and IT proficient \nCommercially aware and team player \nGood communication and client liaison skills \nThe ability to produce technically accurate reports \nIdeally an understanding of the required standards and regulations \nResourceful and ambitious with the ability to self manage \n \nDuties \nEnvironmental noise/vibration assessments \nMeasurement surveys and reporting \nAssessment in accordance with Planning Policy Guidance (PPG) 24 and BS4142 \nAdvice on legislation \nPrediction and measurement of transportation noise \nPlanning conditions - compliance and negotiation \nNoise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment) \nLiaise with consultants, engineers and architects \nWriting high quality reports \nFaçade design to control external noise intrusion \nSound insulation and measurement \nIndustrial and commercial noise control \nConsultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on appropriate use of planning conditions \nSound insulation testing and advice on remedial treatment \nUndertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK \n \nProjects \nTransportation noise and vibration (including railways and highways) \nIndustrial noise \nEnvironmental noise impact assessment \nConstruction noise and vibration \nPlanning & Noise \nRecycling and waste Management \nResidential developments \nSound Insulation design and testing \n \nBenefits \nCompetitive salary \nComprehensive Benefits package \nFlexible and friendly work environment
