Job Overview

An exciting 12-month secondment opportunity has arisen at Scarborough Teaching Hospital for a Band 6 Clinical Educator within our Education and Development team. We seek a motivated, dynamic practitioner with clinical and teaching experience to support the education and development of theatre/PACU teams.

You will contribute to devising, delivering, and evaluating education and competency-based training programs, supporting clinical practice education, training, and team collaboration across the hospital sites.


Main Duties

* Develop and deliver clinical skills training across Theatre and PACU settings using diverse media and simulation.
* Plan and organize training equipment, book training sessions, and coordinate venues with colleagues.

Person Specification


Qualifications & Training

* Registered Nurse with NMC or ODP with HCPC registration
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Willingness to undergo necessary training
* Practice Assessor or Mentor
* Experience in education and training in clinical areas
* Experience in clinical audit and standard setting


Experience & Knowledge

* Minimum 3 years Clinical Theatre experience
* Interest in Education
* Knowledge of current theatre issues and developments
* Leadership experience
* Excellent communication skills

DBS Checks

All new employees will be charged for DBS checks if required, deducted from salary in full or installments. Volunteers and Bank staff are exempt. Transgender applicants can request a sensitive checks process.
