Role Summary:
This role reports to, and will act as a deputy to, the Rentokil Head of Investor Relations. You will represent Rentokil Initial within the investment community and help implement an effective IR programme, covering the company’s communication with the capital markets and building trust and confidence within the investor community.
We are looking for an outstanding individual with a passion for investor relations who is pro‑active, curious and well‑organised. The role requires a strategic and commercial mind‑set to translate how the company creates value for the investment community, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an executive presence for interacting with Rentokil Initial executive team and senior leadership, and the ability to manage relationships outside the company while understanding the regulatory backdrop and specific audience requirements.
Responsibilities
* Strategic equity IR planning: partner with the Head of IR to develop and implement a best‑in‑class equity investor relations programme and strategy.
* Best in class equity IR programme execution: drive equity investor engagement, delivering high levels of service and ensuring effective communication of Rentokil’s performance, strategy, and market positioning to investors and analysts worldwide.
* Lead investor meetings and conferences; act as the key point of contact responding to investor and analyst queries, and internal queries, in a timely and accurate manner.
* Business understanding: develop and maintain detailed understanding of the financial performance, strategy and operations of the business.
* Investor communications: lead the preparation of investor materials, including capital markets days, financial results announcements, presentations and supporting documents (including Q&A), together with the Annual Report and quarterly trading statements.
* C‑Suite & Board advisory: deliver regular insights to the Executive team and Board, providing in‑depth analysis on Rentokil Initial’s share price movements, sector performance, peer benchmarking and broader market trends.
* Shareholder analysis: lead shareholder analysis, identify opportunities to enhance investor targeting and optimise the composition of the share register.
* Analyst relations: lead and enhance relationships with sell‑side analysts, monitor and interpret analyst research, and provide the Executive team with insights on market expectations and variances against internal projections.
Requirements
* A strong financial background with excellent modelling, analytical and numerical capabilities evidenced by a financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA).
* Sound working knowledge of equity markets, corporate financials, share register analysis, regulatory environment and financial modelling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors.
* Previous in‑house equity IR or sell‑side analyst experience.
* A great communicator with strong writing skills and the ability to story‑tell and think creatively.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships with peers and senior management.
* Good commercial acumen and a curiosity about businesses and how they work.
* Comfort working across all levels in the business, including with the CEO, CFO and Global Leadership Team.
* Able to observe the finest detail while being a ‘big picture’ strategic thinker.
* Strong technology skills an advantage, including a demonstrated interest in utilising AI, as well as Excel and PowerPoint.
