Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow in Renal Cancer at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust within the Academic Oncology Department. This 12-month post combines:
1. 6 months as a Renal Research Fellow, focusing on renal trial recruitment and supporting oncology outpatient clinics.
2. 6 months as a Clinical Fellow, covering oncology and palliative care inpatients.
The role offers exposure to various oncology disciplines, enhancing prospects for higher medical training. The position is available from August 2025, based at the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead, London, on a full-time basis.
Renal Fellow Responsibilities (6 months)
This established role involves:
* Leading the Renal Cancer group in collaboration with oncology, immunology, and urology teams.
* Patient care and recruitment into clinical trials.
* Developing a renal cancer service and a research database, including exposure to radiation therapies such as renal SABR.
Clinical Fellow Responsibilities (6 months)
During this period, the fellow will:
* Join a ward team with FY1s, IMT1/2, an SpR, an Oncology Consultant, and a physician's assistant.
* Coordinate ward-based undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
* Contribute to the on-call rota, including the Hospital at Night service.
* Present at least one first-author abstract at a national meeting and participate in quality improvement projects.
