The Role and Training
Vision for Education is proud to deliver the National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP) in Milton Keynes, providing a route into education for individuals looking to start a career in schools. If you have transferable skills and a passion for working with children, we offer free online training and a paid school placement to help you get started.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils in the classroom, help manage behaviour, and assist teachers in delivering engaging learning. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a mainstream school, learning valuable skills and contributing to pupil progress.
What are transferable skills?
We welcome candidates from backgrounds including:
1. Care, support work or social work – empathy, patience, safeguarding awareness
2. Youth work, coaching or mentoring – communication, leadership, positive engagement
3. Customer service or hospitality – adaptability, teamwork, people skills
