Spindle Moulder Operator
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Spindle Moulder Operator to join a busy woodworking and manufacturing environment in Rochdale on a temporary basis, with the potential for long-term work. This role is ideal for someone with woodworking experience who is confident using machinery and working to high levels of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and set up the spindle moulder in line with production specifications and safety requirements.
Work with a variety of timber components, ensuring precise shaping, profiling, and finishing.
Conduct regular quality checks on all produced items, making adjustments to tooling or machine settings where necessary.
Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure correct product dimensions and profiles.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working area, performing basic maintenance and routine checks on machinery.
Support wider production tasks when required to meet daily and weekly targets.
Requirements
Previous experience operating a spindle moulder or similar woodworking machinery is essential.
Strong understanding of woodworking practices, tools, and safety procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Must wear safety boots and a hi‑vis vest throughout the shift.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday- 08:00 to 17:30
Includes:
1 unpaid 30‑minute lunch break
Two paid 15‑minute breaks (morning and afternoon)
