GSL Education are hiring a committed History Teacher to join a school in Sheffield (S35), delivering lessons that encourage curiosity, analysis, and a deeper understanding of historical events and perspectives. As History Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured History lessons, supporting pupils to evaluate sources, build arguments, and develop strong research and writing skills within a positive classroom environment. What you’ll be doing as History Teacher: Deliver well-planned History lessons in line with the curriculum Encourage enquiry, discussion, and critical thinking Support pupils in analysing evidence and forming balanced viewpoints Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback What we’re looking for: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching History in a school setting Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What’s in It for You?
