Role Summary
The Testing Delivery Head will lead end-to-end testing delivery, quality governance, and transformation initiatives for a large-scale banking account. The role requires deep expertise in software testing, banking domain knowledge, automation, and GenAI-driven quality engineering. This position demands strong delivery leadership, customer engagement excellence, and the ability to manage large distributed teams across global delivery environments.
1. Experience & Overall Capability
* 16 to 18 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering
* Extensive experience in Banking & Financial Services, including:
* Retail & Corporate Banking
* Payments & Cards
* Trade Finance
* Risk & Compliance
* AML & Regulatory Reporting
* Proven ability to manage large enterprise accounts with multi-technology and multi-vendor landscapes
* Experience working in onsite–offshore global delivery models
2. Testing & Quality Engineering Expertise
Strong experience in delivering end-to-end testing services across:
* Functional Testing & System Integration Testing
* API & Integration Testing
* Web & Mobile Testing
* Data, Batch & Backend Validation
* Performance, Security & other Non-Functional Testing areas
Expertise in defining testing strategy, test architecture, and quality frameworks aligned with business and regulatory needs.
Capabilities include:
* Test planning, estimation & governance
* Quality metrics, dashboards & KPI tracking
* Defect management & RCA-driven quality improvements
* Risk-based testing models
3. Automation, Architecture & Transformation
* Strong exposure to automation across UI, API, Mobile, and Backend layers
* Ability to guide architects and automation leads on:
* Framework design and implementation
* Tool selection and overall automation strategy
* Reusability and modularity in automation assets
* Experience in driving transformation initiatives such as:
* Shift-left / Shift-right approaches
* Cloud-based testing strategies
* CI/CD and DevOps-driven automation pipelines
* Knowledge of cloud-native testing, containerization, and data-centric test strategies
4. GenAI & Innovation Enablement
* Experience or strong understanding of GenAI-led testing acceleration:
* AI-assisted test design, script generation, and validation
* Intelligent test optimization, prioritization, and autonomous execution
* Self-healing automation frameworks
* AI-based defect prediction & analytics
* Ability to conceptualize, pitch, and deliver AI-led testing solutions to clients
* Drives continuous improvement and innovation across testing teams
5. Delivery & Account Management
* Full ownership of testing delivery across the account
* Responsible for planning, governance, execution, and continuous improvement
* Ability to identify and mitigate delivery risks early
* Experience in transitioning and stabilizing large testing programs
* Ensures alignment with contractual SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards
6. Client & Stakeholder Management
* Acts as a trusted advisor to senior IT, Business, and Operations stakeholders
* Leads customer interactions in:
* Delivery and quality reviews
* Transformation & innovation discussions
* Strategic roadmap definition
* Ensures expectations are clearly defined, aligned, and met
* Collaborates with customer teams in agile and governance ceremonies
7. People & Talent Management
* Experience managing large teams (150+ FTEs) across multiple locations
* Responsibilities include:
* Talent acquisition & onboarding
* Capability building & upskilling
* Mentoring senior managers, architects, and leads
* Ability to build a high-performance testing organization
* Encourages servant leadership and fosters a culture of ownership
* Engages with internal CoE teams, partners, and academic institutions for talent development
8. Operational & Financial Responsibility
* Accountable for testing delivery P&L, including:
* Revenue
* Margins
* Utilization
* Cost & productivity optimization
* Works closely with sales, pre-sales, and leadership on:
* Account mining and expansion opportunities
* Proposal creation and solution positioning
* Ensures compliance with customer and organizational governance policies
9. Governance & Ways of Working
* Strong knowledge of Agile, Hybrid, and Scaled Agile operating models
* Establishes governance frameworks tailored to enterprise programs
* Ensures transparency through metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms
* Drives continuous improvement in delivery processes, productivity, and quality maturity
