We have a unique and excitingopportunity for an experienced property lawyer at Associate orSenior Associate level to join our national Property & Projectsteam in Newcastle, to work with highly regarded Partner KatrinaReye .
This role will provide adviceon general property law matters including acquisitions anddisposals, options, leases, licences, easements, restrictivecovenants, Crown Land and regulatory matters.
The practice provides adviceto government, the private sector and large community housingproviders in relation to major tenders, property developmentprojects, social and affordable housing projects, socialinfrastructure, activation and divestment of Government land andall types of real property matters includingland duediligence, multi-million-dollar purchases and sales, commercial andretail leasing, licensing, easements, restrictive covenants, publicpositive covenants.
Our Property & Projectsteam consists of over 110 people nationally and continues togrow. We are seeking a motivated lawyer eager to work in acollaborative team environment that offers the opportunity to workon an interesting and varied range of projects and propertymatters.
Aboutyou
You will ideally have thefollowing skills and experience:
* between 3 and 7 years ofpost-admission experience as a property lawyer;
* additional experience inprojects, infrastructure and/or construction law is notessential, however will be highly regarded;
* the ability to workautonomously and as part of a team;
* excellent technical,analytical and drafting skills with keen attention todetail;
* a strong commitment toclient service and the ability to manage clientrelationships;
* a focus on achievingcommercial solutions for our clients;
* a keen interest incontributing to the growth and success of our property practicein the Newcastle and Hunter Valley regions;
* for senior candidates, awillingness and ability to mentor and supervise junior membersof the team; and
* the ability to organiseand prioritise effectively.
