Responsibilities:
1. To receive, prioritise and process photocopying requisitions.
2. To operate the photocopying machinery/equipment in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
3. To ensure appropriate stocks of materials and supplies are maintained.
4. To maintain records of photocopying/resources used.
5. To maintain and undertake basic repairs to equipment where practical to do so or arrange alternative servicing by approved contractors.
6. To be responsible for the safe storage of equipment and materials and the disposal of waste products in accordance with the relevant regulations, guidelines and school procedures.
7. To ensure that Health and Safety requirements and other relevant regulations (e.g. COSHH) are adhered to and observed.
8. Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the school's safeguarding and child protection policy.
Requirements:
1. Experience working in an ICT or reprographics environment, and general clerical/administrative work experience.
2. Ability to manage own workload, work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
3. Ability to work constructively as part of a team.
4. Strong customer focus with the ability to relate well to children and adults.
5. Good organising, planning, and prioritising skills
6. Methodical with good attention to detail
7. Good understanding and ability to use relevant technology e.g. photocopier
8. Good communication skills both verbal and written
9. Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and an appreciation of the implications of the Data Protection Act
10. Understanding Health and Safety issues relevant to the post
