Who Will You Be Supporting?

You'll be supporting a young man with additional needs who lives independently in his own home. He's confident, sociable, and values his independence but also appreciates having someone nearby who understands when to step in and when to step back. He enjoys:

* Walking and counting his steps
* Bus rides and car journeys
* Trips to the pub and town
* Music and playing musical instruments
* Folk music and attending folk music festivals
* Performing at local Open Mic nights (he's got a great voice – maybe you do too?)
* Attending music events
* Attending car boot sales
* Attending county shows
* Attending emergency services events and is interested in emergency services
* Enjoys watching traffic from a bridge or a safe roundabout
* Travelling abroad with family
* Using his computer


What Will You Be Doing?

As a Support Worker, you'll be:

* Balancing independence & support: respecting his autonomy while being ready to assist when needed
* Daily living support: helping with routines, personal care, and household tasks
* Community engagement: supporting hobbies, outings, and social events
* Team collaboration: occasionally working in nearby homes to share skills and learn from others
* Immediate reviews: applications are reviewed upon receipt and interviews will continue until positions are filled
