Healthcare Support Worker - Community

Working Hours
The hours of this post are 3 evenings per week (1630‑2130) including weekends and public holidays. The salary is pro‑rate for part‑time hours.
Job Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health Care Support Worker to join our out‑of‑hours evening service in Renfrewshire based in Milend Centre, Paisley. The post holder will support the OOH Evening District Nursing team in delivering care to patients within Renfrewshire HSCP, providing an accessible, appropriate, high‑quality, culturally sensitive, and effective nursing service to adults living in the community.
Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with the District Nursing Teams and assist in the implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients and their carers, under the supervision of the District Nurse.
* Contribute to health improvement initiatives for individuals and families on the caseload and to the wider community.
* Support the District Nursing Team to work toward completion of the local competency framework and Mandatory Induction Standards for new Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) through the designated Workbook.
* Provide care across a large geographical area, working flexibly across the service area and districts.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Recent experience working within a community setting is desirable.
* A clean driving licence is essential and access to a car is required.
* Any relevant nursing or healthcare support qualifications that enable support of patients and carers.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, carers, and other agencies.
