Registered Manager Childrens Residential Home

About the role:
An established care provider is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a new therapeutic childrens residential home in London. This is a rare opportunity to shape a home from its inception within a values-led organisation that provides robust operational support.
Whether you are an experienced Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready for your next step, you will be fully supported by a dedicated senior team including specialists in regulation, placements, administration, and commercial strategy.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the childrens home
Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and high-quality care of all residents
Develop and lead a cohesive, motivated, and well-trained staff team
Create and manage personalised care plans tailored to each childs needs
Maintain a nurturing, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment
Lead safeguarding and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks
Liaise effectively with external professionals and agencies
Advocate for the development and aspirations of each young person
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a childrens residential care setting
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
Strong understanding of child protection legislation and trauma-informed approaches
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Proven ability to manage multi-agency working and effective care planning
Confident in addressing challenges and supporting team accountability
Passion for helping vulnerable children thrive in a safe and stable environment
