We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Lewes on a full-time basis.
About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are recruiting motivated and caring Teaching Assistants to work full-time in primary school settings across Lewes and nearby areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, support pupils across a range of abilities, and make a meaningful impact on children’s education. The role may involve supporting individuals, small groups, or working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons.
Key Duties
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils where required.
Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Support pupils with additional needs where necessary.
Uphold safeguarding standards and promote pupil wellbeing at all times.
Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
A patient, proactive, and supportive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
