Our client, a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA), is currently seeking a Mechanical Instructor to join their team in Hull. The organisation provides engineering apprenticeships and adult skills training to numerous companies in Yorkshire and Humberside.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering high-quality apprenticeship and commercial training in mechanical engineering
* Conducting training sessions in mechanical planned and reactive maintenance
* Instructing on the operation of lathe and milling machines
* Teaching the safe use of hand tools
* Providing training in hydraulics or pneumatics
* Ensuring compliance with health & safety practices and procedures
* Utilising chemical process industry knowledge and/or CAD if applicable
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards
Job Requirements:
* Experience in mechanical engineering
* Knowledge of mechanical planned and reactive maintenance
* Experience operating lathe and milling machines
* Familiarity with hydraulics or pneumatics
* Proficiency in health & safety practices and procedures
* Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification
* Good interpersonal and computer skills
* Full driving licence
* Knowledge of the chemical process industry and/or CAD (desirable)
