We are looking for a childcare leader for Letham Mains Out of School Club based in Letham Mains Primary.
Applicants will possess or be willing to work towards a BA Childhood Practice or a Level 9 PDA in Childhood practice or have the equivalent to be able to manage a service as set out by the Scottish Social Services Council.

Beyond the foundational service of providing a safe and well-resourced environment, the club manager will act as a brand ambassador growing and developing this service as the school role increases.
As the Out of School Childcare Manager, responsibilities and duties are as follows:
· Practice full understanding of the Care Inspectorate Social Care Standards and SSSC codes of conduct and legislations.
· Manage the overall administration of the setting, keeping relevant records and ensuring that the agreed club procedures are implemented.
· In consultation with other staff, plan a varied programme of activities suitable to the needs of the young people.
· Act as the initial point of contact for any approaches regarding to the out of school club setting from parents, school staff or any other interested parties.
· Engage in continual personal development for staff in the setting.
· To have a sound knowledge of child development and be able to respond to
children's individual needs.
· To work as part of a team within the setting and be able to establish good and
effective relationships with the children, parents, staff and identify potential community partnerships.
· Ensuring that all staff are supported in their developmental needs.
Skills and Experience
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have:
· Demonstrable track record in childcare management, ideally in the out of school club sector.
· Effective verbal communications and experience in a customer facing sector.
· Ability to work independently with excellent time management, organisation and administrative skills.
· Ability to demonstrate by example with pride in personal appearance and professional practice.

Applicants will possess or be willing to work towards a BA Childhood Practice or a Level 9 PDA in Childhood practice or have the equivalent to be able to manage a service as set out by the Scottish Social Services Council. However, we will also consider applications from individuals with managerial experience and who are willing to work towards the qualification.
Successful candidates will be subject to a PVG check and should be registered with SSSC.
