Advert Title: Fire Safety Manager
Location – Barrow In- Furness, LA14 4QS
Hours – Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 17:00pm
We’re currently looking to recruit a Fire Safety Manager to manage five Fire Safety Officers at our site in Barrow-In-Furness. This role will play a critical part in minimising the risk of fire at our client’s site, and when required provide coordinated emergency responses to Fire and First Aid Incidents. As part of the Fire Safety Team, you will be responsible for ensuring that planned maintenance of fire equipment is up to date and that all the team training is completed. You will maintain fire records, documentation and fire emergency plans as well as monitoring shift and holiday rota’s ensuring overtime is organised where necessary to maintain cover 24/7.
As a member of the Apleona site management team, you will be expected to be pro-active in your duties and to develop a strong customer-centric relationship with all of our key stakeholders. The position requires an individual with a proactive, diligent, and conscientious approach to the work environment.
Responsibilities
* Manage five Fire Safety Officers on site in Barrow-In-Furness.
* Ensure planned maintenance of fire equipment is up to date.
* Coordinate and oversee training for the fire safety team.
* Maintain fire records, documentation and fire emergency plans.
* Monitor shift and holiday rosters and arrange overtime to maintain 24/7 cover.
* Develop proactive relationships with key stakeholders and contribute to site management.
Qualifications
* IOSH Managing Safely
* NEBOSH NGC1 or NEBOSH Fire safety qualification (desirable)
* Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office
* First Aid at Work
* Organisational and problem solving skills
* Valid UK driving licence
* Experience of working in a high speed 24/7 manufacturing facility
