BDO Canada's Kitchener-Waterloo group of offices are looking for Senior Accountants to join our Assurance team and own the following responsibilities:
* Lead audit engagements, prepare working papers, and compile financial statements, all in line with regulatory standards.
* Streamline year-end engagements and prepare tax returns for clients across a variety of industries.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, and address their needs and suggestions promptly.
* Contribute to business development and identify opportunities with existing clients.
* Keep your team in the loop on progress and potential issues, fostering a collaborative environment.

Your experience and education
* You’re a CPA, or working towards your CPA designation, with at least 3 years of experience in external audit in the public accounting sector.
* You have a strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
* You are highly detail-oriented and demonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
* You are proactive in seeking out professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
* You have strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
