Collect, monitor, analyse and make recommendations on costs within the business. What you'll be doing: Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to the costs of raw materials, labour, and overheads. Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to management, supporting decision-making, pricing, margin assurance and strategic planning. Collaborate with departments across the business to ensure accurate cost allocation and identify cost-saving opportunities. Conduct variance analysis between actual and standard/budget costs, investigating and explaining significant discrepancies, with recommendations to improve margin. Assist in the development and refinement of cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure clean, accurate data, resulting in usable reports and insights (e.g. using Power BI). Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations related to manufacturing activities Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing reliable cost data and trend analysis. Monitor inventory valuation and assist with stocktakes and cost of goods sold calculations. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and relevant financial regulations. Who we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or a related field (CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification is advantageous). Proven experience in cost analysis, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear manner. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. MS D365, SAP, Oracle).
