To be personally responsible and professionally accountable for a service user caseload within the community, focusing on service users with or suspected of having a First Episode Psychosis (FEP). To provide high quality care and treatment in conjunction with other professionals through the Trust’s agreed multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment care programmes.
To participate as an active member of the multi-disciplinary Early Intervention Service team in developing high quality and innovative services for service users with First Episode Psychosis.
This is a fixed-term role, offered on a secondment basis for NHS staff—please obtain permission before applying.
Employment requires an Enhanced/Standard DBS check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service may present a valid certificate instead of a new check.
Responsibilities include assessing care needs, developing and evaluating care programmes for patients aged 14-65, with supervision from a designated supervisor, and promoting multidisciplinary assessment and review.
Acts as a Care Co-ordinator, adhering to Trust policies on Integrated CPA and Risk Assessment. Delivers specialist interventions such as Family Interventions or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp), according to skills.
Works in a socially inclusive way aligned with the recovery model, promotes carers’ needs, completes assessments, supports local Carer/User Groups, and promotes the Trust’s philosophy of care.
Administers medication in compliance with relevant policies and legislation. Participates in the Team Duty Worker rota and Initial Assessment rota, ensuring adherence to clinical policies and legal regulations, including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
