1:1 Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s education? Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming primary school in Colchester.
About the Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a child who requires additional support, helping them access learning in a way that meets their unique needs. Your role will involve:
✔️ Providing tailored support in the classroom and during activities
✔️ Encouraging independence and confidence in learning ✨
✔️ Implementing strategies set by the SENCO and class teacher
✔️ Supporting emotional and social development
✔️ Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is:
✅ Patient, compassionate, and understanding
✅ Experience working with SEN children
✅ Able to build strong relationships and support engagement
✅ Confident in using different strategies to support learning and behaviour
✅ A team player with great communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
