Previous experience is considered desirable but not essential. The Science department has a long history of providing comprehensive Science education. We have an enthusiastic and experienced team of educators who work well together and we look forward to welcoming the successful candidate into our team. The department has six fully equipped laboratories in a purpose-built Science block, with its own staff room and prep areas. The staff team currently consists of nine Science teachers plus two Science technicians. As a fully comprehensive 11 to 18 school, our Science department educates a huge variety of students and provide KS3, KS4 and KS5 Science courses in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The successful candidate will: Be able to seek out efficient and co-operative ways of working within the Science team Be enthusiastic about working with a range of pupils with differing needs and abilities Show initiative and take a flexible approach to working Build positive relationships with staff and students Ensure all Health and Safety requirements and regulations are adhered to. Training courses will be available in order to aid with career progression and bring new skills and experience to the department. Working hours are 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday (4pm on Friday), with a 30 minute (unpaid) lunch break.
