Wood is recruiting for a Senior Cyber & Network Security Engineer experienced in Automation and Control Network design and implementation to join our Operations Business unit to support across UK projects.
There is a requirement for hybrid working with 3 days per week being based out of either Aberdeen, Glasgow, Stockton or Staines. There will also be a requirement to visit UK based client sites as and when required.
Please note applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role
The Senior Cyber & Network Security Engineer will support the implementation of projects in line with company objectives including continuous improvement of margin, customer satisfaction, schedule, working capital and safety performance.
As a Senior Cyber & Network Security Engineer, you will assist in the provision of cyber security, networking, secure architectures, solutions, vulnerability and risk assessments, technologies and procedures to support Wood assignments / project teams and clients.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with previous project experience who has the capability to discover vulnerabilities and risks in networks, software systems and data centres through ongoing vulnerability scans, monitoring network data, and ensuring hardware and software applications are updated.

Expected:
6. Minimum BSc Degree or equivalent demonstratable experience
7. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CWNP, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Certificates, or GICSP are highly desirable
8. Significant experience and competency in Control System Network Design Engineering
9. IEC62443 Industrial Cyber Security accredited
10. Good understanding of IEC27001/2 Information Security Management
11. Good general knowledge of each Automation and Control engineering discipline
12. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (., Modbus, DNP3, OPC) and their security implications
13. Experienced in writing Network specifications
14. Detailed experience with multiple system implementation projects and / or control system platforms
15. Experience in Brownfield upgrades / replacement automation and control projects
16. Must have thorough knowledge of engineering practices, methodologies and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications
17. Knowledge of modern automation and control applications, tools, methodologies, or equivalent training / experience
18. Understanding of the interplay between physical security and cybersecurity in OT environments
19. Familiarity with safety standards and regulations relevant to OT environments
20. Good working knowledge of current industry specific technology and the application of current engineering software / tools and trends
21. Inquisitive, well organized and have a keen eye for detail
Desirable:
22. Experience with Networks containing Rockwell, Honeywell and Schneider PLC / SCADA systems
23. Familiarity with telecom protocols, satellite communication and radio-link technologies
24. Experience of OT Intrusion Detection Systems
