Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

* Full‑Time (37.5 hours/week)
* Casual Workers

Ambrose offers 24/7 support to adults with Learning Disabilities and or Autism who reside in a Solo supported living environment. We empower clients to live as independently as possible while offering structured, person‑centred support and ensuring a safe living space.

As a Support Worker, you will provide 1:1 person‑centred support to help clients with daily living skills, accessing the community, attending appointments, building relationships, and working toward their personal goals.

We offer a mix of day and sleeping night shifts, providing support tailored to each client’s needs.


Main duties of the job

* Person Centred – Prepare person‑centred support plans with clients which reflect their views and aspirations, review and amend them as necessary, and consider the client’s changing needs and wishes.
* Respectful – Support clients to fulfil their aspirations and live as independently as possible, in accordance with their skills and abilities. This may include accompanying them on social visits and events, day centres, and activities and outings, and developing their skills and knowledge.
* Open – Communicate in an open and transparent way with clients and other team members, acting with integrity and doing what you say you will do.
* Understanding – Where required you may be asked to provide personal care to clients in a way that respects their choices and dignity. This can include assistance with washing and toileting.
* Dedicated – Keep accurate records, including daily notes, with full involvement of the client.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

* Willing to provide an appropriate level of 1:1 care and support to clients, in accordance with their care plan.
* Understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate written and numerical records.
* Ability to undertake a wide range of personal care and domestic duties (specific to each client’s needs).
* Understanding or willingness to learn how to use computer packages (such as Word, Outlook, and the Internet) and undertake relevant training and qualification in care if required.
* Able to work cooperatively as a team member.
* Able to liaise and communicate effectively with carers, families, inspectors and other external stakeholders.
