About the Role
We are looking to appoint dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistants to join a highly reputable and welcoming school in Harlow. The role offers the opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where staff are valued, and pupils are supported to achieve their best. This is a rewarding position that may involve providing general classroom assistance as well as targeted 1:1 support for pupils who may need additional help to access learning. Candidates with experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) are also encouraged to apply, as there may be opportunities to take on more responsibility within the school.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support to the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Offer 1:1 support to pupils, helping them to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
* Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum fully.
* Contribute to planning and preparation where required, particularly for HLTA roles.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children at all times.
Requirements
* Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, with particular strength in providing 1:1 support.
* A DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
* A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting children's learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
