Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic / MOT Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in using both hand and power tools. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery and vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance work.
* Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.
* Stay updated on the latest industry practices and technologies related to mechanical repair.
* Cam belts / Timing Chains
* Suspension Work and diagnosing
Qualifications
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in a similar role is preferred.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
