Job Description: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Worker's who have experience supporting young people. This role involves working in a school. Hours: 08.45am - 3.15pm - Monday to Friday (Agency - Hours to suit you) The ideal candidate will need to have previous experience supporting young people who have a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities & Autism. You would play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to the young people, ensuring their well-being and personal development. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate & work on own initiative. Pay Rates: £13.20 per hour You must hold a valid Enhanced Child & Adult DBS which is on the DBS update service. Role: Supporting young people aged 10-19 years in a school environment. Providing direct support to the young people to enable them to engage in the school day. Following individual care plans, ensuring that each young person's unique requirements are met. Engaging in school activities, as directed, that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of young people. Maintaining clear and effective communication with the young people and other staff/teachers. Completing all relevant documentation as required.Experience Previous experience working with young people with disabilities is essential. Experience of supporting with Learning Disabilities & Autism. Some knowledge of supporting with epilepsy would be an advantage. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support or a similar understanding of managing behaviours of concern. Understanding individual needs and behaviours.
