The special school supports children and young people aged 4-18 and cater for pupils with a broad spectrum of complex needs, often with multiple special educational requirements. The ideal candidate will be: Passionate about teaching and supporting children with complex needs Creative in their approach to learning, with a strong understanding of child development Experienced or confident in applying early years approaches Solution-focused, resilient, and ready to inspire and motivate pupils and familiesEssential requirements: To hold or be actively working towards Qualified Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills To have achieved a qualification in English / literacy and mathematics / numeracy equivalent to at least a level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework. Experience of working with clear guidelines, procedures and adhering to child protection Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with a variety of colleagues across directorates and other agencies. Understanding of working with people with challenging behaviour / complex needs / disabilities.
