DUTIES Your duties as the Key Worker include: Deliver Key Work Sessions: Provide one-to-one and group sessions to support rehabilitation and reintegration Contribute to Risk Management: Report and record any changes in behaviour, compliance or risk of harm Coordinate Support Plans: Liaise with Offender Managers and partner agencies to review progress and share key information Undertake Resident Inductions: Ensure residents understand premises rules, expectations and available support Facilitate Purposeful Activities: Deliver structured programmes both in-house and within the community Maintain Accurate Records: Use computer systems to update risk management and support plans within agreed timescales Administer Medication and Testing: Follow prescribed medication and drug/alcohol testing procedures accurately Safeguard Residents: Promote welfare and follow all safeguarding procedures for adults and children Promote Positive Behaviour: Model and reinforce pro-social behaviour while challenging anti-social attitudes Support Safety and Security: Participate in handovers, room checks, and respond to emergencies in line with policy CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Essential Previous experience of supporting individuals to change behaviour and develop life skills Experience working with diverse groups or those with social or personal difficulties Understanding of safeguarding principles and their practical application Good communication, record-keeping and IT skills Knowledge of issues linked to offending, such as substance misuse or housing Desirable NVQ Level 3 in Community Justice or equivalent (or working towards) Experience within the Criminal Justice System, prison or residential setting Knowledge of trauma-informed practice Experience in a multi-agency or Approved Premises environment CLOSING DATE: 7th November 2025 Interviews will be face to face on 13th and 14th November 2025 This role is subjected to an Enhanced DBS check.
