Job Description:
* Use technical expertise to support customers in selecting the most suitable products.
* Offer installation guidance both before and after the point of sale.
* Deliver technical support through site visits, phone calls, Teams meetings, and face-to-face interactions.
* Collaborate with manufacturers to resolve technical queries for customers and internal teams.
* Participate in manufacturer-led training to maintain up-to-date product and industry knowledge.
* Partner with the marketing team to develop and pursue new sales opportunities.
* Reach out to prospective clients to introduce and promote relevant products and solutions.
* Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with customers.
* Represent the company at trade shows, assisting on the exhibition stand as needed.
* Log initial customer enquiries and quotations accurately in Hubspot.
* Create and send timely, precise quotations tailored to customer needs.
* Maintain current customer account data in Sage, especially for approved credit accounts.
* Proactively follow up on quotations and respond to customer queries.
* Hold regular review meetings with the Internal Sales Manager to discuss ongoing sales and project activity.
Person Specification:
* Familiarity with technical procedures for delivering on-site services.
* Clear grasp of the full sales invoicing process, from initial enquiry to final payment.
* Experience with sales order processing using Sage and SharePoint.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Hubspot, and Sage.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Flexible and adaptable—willing to take on tasks outside your core role as needed.
* Able to apply existing knowledge to new or unfamiliar technical/operational challenges and deliver effective solutions.
* Provide cover for colleagues during leave or absence.
* Confident in both technical and operational problem solving.
* Capable of promoting company products and services during calls or on-site visits.
* Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
