About the Role
As a Deputy Depot Night Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our night shift operations. Reporting directly to the Depot Manager, you will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of newspapers and magazines to our retailers. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supervising and training staff, while identifying their training needs
* Providing detailed reports that highlight challenges and successes
* Collaborating with the management team to identify potential risks
* Maintaining a high level of health and safety at all times
* Ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies
* Working within an annual budget and forecast

About You
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in a warehouse management role. You should have:
* Experience in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to manage large operations and liaise effectively at all levels
* Outstanding communication skills to build strong relationships with team members and management
* Experience in planning and executing night operations, addressing challenges as they arise
* Tenacity and a results-driven approach to exceeding targets and delivering an exceptional client experience
* Strong computer literacy, particularly with MS Office
* Excellent business acumen and financial awareness
