Vehicle MET/Strip Fit Technician / Weston-super-Mare
1. Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, pending experience, plus performance-related bonus scheme.
2. Hours: 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Our client, an automotive accident repair centre in Weston-super-Mare, is looking to recruit a Vehicle MET/Strip Fit Technician to join their business.
Your key responsibilities as an MET/Strip Fit Technician will include:
4. Accurately and skilfully undertake the removal and replacement of mechanical, electrical and trim items on our client's vehicles.
5. To be able to identify hidden damage after stripping and assist with compiling parts and labour lists in conjunction with work colleagues.
6. Ensure all work is completed safely, maintaining the highest standard of repair efficiency.
To be eligible, you will ideally have a recognised qualification in automotive MET/vehicle body repair or be working towards an IMI qualification. Our client, however, is willing to consider candidates with no formal qualifications who have a prior track record in vehicle body repair/strip and fit or from a motor vehicle mechanical background with experience in suspension, steering, and other more complex mechanical work. Overall, you will be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, carry out duties as detailed on job cards to manufacturer and company standards, use initiative and prioritise workload to meet delivery times and customers’ expectations, and be able to work independently but liaise effectively with colleagues and support others by multi-tasking during busy periods. A UK driving licence with minimal points is essential at this stage.
